Major Problem with Annapurna Sanctuary Trek
The major problem with this trek is that it can become impassable because of snow and avalanches in winter and early spring. It is the only major trekking route in Nepal that has significant avalanche danger, so you must inquire locally whether the trail is safe. Some trekkers have died because of avalanches, and others have been stranded in the sanctuary for days.

Currently the most dangerous problem of this trek is the part between Deorali and Machhapuchhare Base Camp (M.B.C). As we trekked from Sinuwa to Himalaya we heard about that there was an avalanche in the front of the road and 5 Chinese people are covered by snow (live or die). Therefore our guide Tek suggested that we might stay one night at Himalaya. However, other trekkers also had the same idea of ours and thus there were no free rooms (including dinning rooms) at Himalaya. Unfortunately we needed to continue going to next night stop Deorali.
Anyway, the most dangerous problem is unpredictable avalanches. Nobody gets a prize for passing dangerous routes.

- 費用：
- US $ 25 or equivalent foreign currency for Tourist Visa with Multiple Entry for 15 days.
- US $ 40 or equivalent foreign currency for Tourist Visa with Multiple Entry for 30 days.
- US $ 100 or equivalent foreign currency for Tourist Visa with Multiple Entry for 100 days.
- Regardless of the provision stated in 1(a) and 1(b), tourists with passport from South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) nations aren't required to pay visa fee for 30 days.
- 預先準備數字剛好的美金以免麻煩。
山證申請
- 如果要進入 Annapurna Conservation Area，要申請 TIMS Card 及 Entry Permit to Trek in Conservation Areas。
- 當地申請。地址：Pokhara: Nepal Tourism Board, Tourist Service Centre, Pardi Damside (for Annapurna only) Opening hours Sunday to Saturday except on public holidays in Pokhara: 10 am – 5 pm
- 如果是自由行不跟團，每人費用為 Rs 2000 (TIMS Card) + Rs 2000 (Entry Permit) = Rs 4000
- 當地貨幣在加德滿都換匯率比較好，例如加德滿都 US $1 = Rs 98，波卡拉 US $1 = Rs 97 差一點。

TIMS Card
- Fee: NTB and TAAN have introduced separate TIMS Cards for FITs and organized groups. FITs need to have Green TIMS cards by paying Nepali currency equivalent to US $20 per person, while those travelling in groups need to have Blue TIMS cards by paying Nepali currency equivalent to US $10 per person. Trekkers taking the service of trekking agencies can pay fee for TIMS card in US dollars.
